For 8 years now I have enjoyed Qi gong classes from Deanna, practicing and learning the benefits of activating our internal energies for healing and relaxation. Having the recorded lessons available is a real plus if you miss a class or need a extra.

I have been doing Qi Gong with Deanna Ries for nearly 10 years now. When I started I was having serious respiratory problems and my body wasn't very supple. Each year my respiratory problems have improved so much and with my last breathing test, I was much improved from the one 2 years prior. Also, my body is now very agile, I can even climb into my Grandson's high wheels truck without assistance. Each day after a Qi Gong class, my body feels revitalized and energized.

Approximately seven years ago I started Qi Gong. It helps me to relax and relieve stress. A health benefit is the practice exercises your internal organs and calms your mind. I was unsure about starting it but you can’t help but enjoy it once you start. Our instructor Deanna is awesome.

My Qi Gong journey began in the Fall of 2017 when I was a casual participant in a weekly class. It was not until the Fall of 2020 that I became a regular participant and quickly could see the benefits of the practice. Now it is part of my daily routine. It has improved my strength, flexibility, and balance. I feel it has helped me with bone strengthening, muscle building and lung health. It also provided a focus for me during Covid. The Zoom classes are wonderful! I look forward to seeing Deanna and the other participants twice a week, we have become a Qi Gong family. It is an added benefit to be able to do it in the comfort of your home. I would highly recommend it to anyone you may be considering it. It will help with your physical, emotional and spiritual health.

I have been practicing Qi Gong with Deanna since last fall, after finding out about her classes from a friend. Of course there is always something extra with face to face gatherings, but I have found the Zoom classes work extremely well for me (especially over Covid & during the winter). I had significant nerve damage to my right leg after a hip replacement, used a walker much longer than normal after that type of surgery & used an AFO brace on my foot/leg & 2 canes to walk, to start, as the leg behaved much like someone who has had a stroke, or has cerebral palsy. A year and a half later, I am still unable to drive. Since practicing Qi Gong with Deanna regularly over the winter, I have been able to ditch the brace entirely, & rarely use a cane anymore. I am able to walk with a more normalized heel-toe movement & have not tripped over my toes in a very long time. Recently, I have tried the eliptical again & have been able to tolerate it for 20-30 minutes. Recently, I have also been doing both Qi Gong & Yoga barefoot on the grass in the back yard, early in the mornings while it is still cool. I have not been able to do Yoga at all, since well before the surgery - so this is a dramatic improvement for me. I have tried Aquasize & Tai Chi as well, but prefer the Qi Gong. The gentle stretching movements, the breathing, the balance work, the ability to stand or sit as necessary if tired or something hurts, & the ability to do this in my own home has really helped me along the way. Qi Gong has also been a really great "Covid Project". Another aspect that I really like is that with the online classes, no matter where I am, so long as I have my lap top & an internet connection I can participate in the live classes. So . . . when we are able to go places again, I won't have to worry about "falling off the wagon" with my exercise program while I am not at home! I am very thankful to have found Deanna & her Qi Gong classes!
